Chase and Hannah were introduced in the fall of 2020 but had briefly met that spring before at a party where Chase beat Hannah in beer pong (and has never let her live it down). Their good friends Ryan & Juls had recently started dating, and Ryan and Chase were roommates. Hannah would come over to their college house with Juls and got to know Chase.

With the help of Chase's friends, he worked up the courage to ask Hannah on a date. Their first date was at Bad Daddy's Burger Bar, still a favorite of theirs, and they dated through the rest of their time at UNCC.

After graduating from UNCC, Chase & Hannah decided to stay in Charlotte to work. They created a community of family and friends in the area. Going to concerts, exploring new restaurants and breweries and spending time with friends are some of their favorite things to do. Chase and Hannah grew fond of the Plaza Midwood neighborhood and moved there in October of 2023.

Chase's proposal to Hannah was months in the making. After a busy couple of weeks, Chase planned a date at Devaste Vineyards in Troutman, NC, near where he grew up. They had been there before, so Hannah wasn't skeptical of this plan. As they drove up to Devaste, Chase told Hannah that he called ahead and got them a bottle to celebrate their 4 year anniversary, which was a couple weeks prior. Hannah was so appreciative of that and was even more excited about their date, but still didn't have a proposal on her mind!

As they were walking out to Devaste’s Wishing Tree, Hannah admired the set-up. Once they got there, Hannah placed her bag down and Chase got down on his knee! Hannah was so surprised and of course said YES!

Hannah's family friends, Heather and Vivien, were hiding in the woods to capture the moment! After Devaste, Chase surprised Hannah with an engagement party at his family's house where they celebrated the night away with close family & friends!
